Griffin could not stop looking at Catiana, and it didn’t go unnoticed that each of his brothers seemed so different around her and took every opportunity to touch her, to converse with her. They weren’t even talking with their friends anymore, now they stood around her by the bar where she sat on a bar stool. Sexy legs crossed, a slight gap in her dress at that top that teased his eyes with a glimpse of her abundant cleavage. She was sexy, muscular and all five of them were interested. How the hell could something like this happen? Who was she? Did they investigate her before hiring her at Calbetta’s? Some guys came over to talk to Armani and Callan so Griffin, Gunner and Miles started to talk to Catiana about Calbetta’s and how she started working there. He picked up on her uneasiness, and it made him have more questions. He would ask Armani later.

“What do you like to do when you aren’t working at the club?” Griffin asked her.

“Outdoor activities as much as possible,” she said to him.

He reached out and moved her long blonde hair off her shoulder. He could see the definition in her neck and her arms were super toned.

“Like what?” he asked.

She stared up at him, not even looking away anymore. She was attracted to him too, just like she was to all of them.

“Biking, jogging, fishing, hiking, whatever I’m in the mood for.”

“You don’t go hiking on your own, do you?” Gunner asked as he brought her hand to his lips and kissed her knuckles.

She giggled. “Yes. That’s the point, to have some relaxation time and just breathe,” she said to him.

“Where do you usually go?” Miles asked her.

She looked at him and Griffin inhaled her shampoo. She smelled so good. This was crazy.

“Dermott’s path, up across Matfield.”

“That’s like a ten mile hike,” Miles replied.

“Yup. I start out around five.”

“A.m.?” Gunner asked and she chuckled.

“Yes, and I pack lunch, some snacks, water and off I go. I take my time, have a nice private spot by one of the lakes to swim in during the warmer months and then I head back before dark.”

“You go swimming alone too?” Miles asked, releasing her hand and placing his hand onto the back of her chair.

“Of course.”

He looked her over.

“I hope you don’t go in some little bikini,” he asked.

“Bikini? Who wears a bathing suit to go swimming in the woods when you’re all by yourself?” she asked him and Miles widened his eyes, Gunner looked her over probably wondering if she were for real but Griffin saw a twinkle in her eyes. She started laughing.

“You lied to me?” Miles asked.

“You asked for it,” she said and slid off the bar stool. She stood there now and Griffin looked down into her eyes.

“Where are you running off to? He was just teasing.”

“I need to use the ladies’ room, and then mingle a bit with my cousin and Gloria before I head out. I have to be up early tomorrow for that hike,” she said and then excused herself and walked away.
